Happy & Healthy New Year

2:05 - Meek and Nique describe the tea that they’re sipping on. Meek is sipping some medicine ball tea from Starbucks. She’s put a twist on it and substituted the lemonade for peach juice instead. Nique is drinking peppermint licorice tea and is hopped up on the natural exhilaration from her concoction. 

3:35 - These two highly intelligent women break into season two by discussing the highlights of 2020.

3:49 - Intentions for 2020, just being able to soak up the moments that you are given with your family and being more intentional with life. Meek took a page of advice from Nique’s book, and soaked up some family moments and put the phone away during the holidays.

5:17- Meek describes how being separated from Instagram (by divine intervention) made her feel, she also states that she loves the fact that her fans reached out to her to check up on her.

5:45 - Meek gives her opinion on how the use of social media gives you anxiety and you often don’t realize it, often you’re already spiraling when you do. Also, she discusses getting her life back, becoming who she already is and not letting Instagram and other social media dictate her way of life. 

8:00 - Overbreak Nique describes being separated from social media while in the Bahamas and the joy of watching her family enjoy their stay and allowing the moments to be just between them.

10:45 - Meek makes a 2020 vision board of things she wants to do including giving yoga another try, learning how to nurture her plants, continue to build black wealth, vacationing, family, and mental health.

12:29 - Nique talks about her intention for 2020 being renewal. She plans to read the entire bible before the end of 2020, focusing on a renewal of faith, focusing on her purpose which doesn’t have to be seen or heard out loud which is her goal. Finding a spot for a yoga studio and serving her community. 

15:08 - Meek and Nique discuss topic #2, “What is something that they did over the break that will interest the audience?”

15:20 - Nique speaks about her experience on the beach in the Bahamas, Meek speaks on the book she’s read called “Killing the Black Body”, and how it helps with motherhood. Meek purchased her first rental property with her husband over the break and she shares the sentiment of it all.

22:35 - The next topic is about a moment in motherhood that truly humbled them both as mothers. Meek had to take her son to the ER for emergency eye surgery. She goes into the back story of how that came to be. She had mom guilt because she didn't follow her heart and leave when she thought she should. Now he’s doing better and everything's fine. 

29:00 - Nique details a humbling airport moment where her daughter stayed adamant about not holding her hand in the crowded area that was making her nervous. She thought to herself, “ What could these people be thinking in their heads”, but then realized that her kids are independent and have minds of their own. 

32:25 - Health Tips for Moms. Insights into choosing flu shots and flu shot alternatives. The benefits of Elderberry syrups, washing of the hands, hand wipes and eating fruits and vegetables to stay healthy.

35:48 - The ladies quickly discuss their first drive tracks of the new year. Meka’s drive track is Fancy by Drake Ft. T.I and Swizz Beatz, while Nique is rolling up in the gospel of Travis Green’s Intentional. Season 1’s Drive Track Playlist is available on iTunes and Google Play Music!
